We are partners! Whether we work in the national or conference settings of the UCC as staff or volunteers, we work as partners in God's mission. This newsletter offers us a place to share our good examples and new ideas about developing Our Church's Wider Mission (OCWM).
Here we will keep you updated about Basic Support of OCWM - for recognition and promotion, educational seminars, peer coaching assistance, blended theme materials. We will also offer stories of good giving from local churches.
We will discuss the "3 C's" - Case, Capacity and Covenant.
What is the Case for support of your Conference and the national UCC? How do you recognize the giving capacity of churches in your Conference for mission giving for wider ministry? What does Covenant giving look like to a new generation of church leaders?
We know you are busy! Volunteers and staff work independently and in teams to invite, support and thank congregations for their mission support through Our Church's Wider Mission. It's our hope that these periodic newsletters will support and remind you of the resources available and the creative practices in use around the UCC.
Share your stories of OCWM generosity by sending us examples. We'll share them here in the issues to come!
Thanks for your partnership! Together, we can Change Lives!
